Classes for children are ten weeks long and are $90.
Classes are open to children ages six to 12.
Classes start the week of January 22nd.
French for Kids
Tuesdays 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. with Patty Vashon, starting
January 22nd. Patty is a University of Maine graduate who
studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. She is a Franco-American
with more than 30 years of teaching experience. She
teaches French at Winslow Junior High. Patty likes to use
music and drama to teach her young students. One class
each semester, she turns the classroom into a French
creperie. It’s a favorite with the students. Yum!

Spanish for Kids

Spanish AFTERSCHOOL, with Deb Soifer on
Tuesdays, 3:30 - 430 p.m. starting January 22nd.

Deb Soifer has a Ph.D. in the history of religions and
has taught Asian religions and Sanskrit at Colby and
Bowdoin Colleges. She teaches Spanish at the
Vassalboro Community School. “I became a
language teacher because it’s fun – you can involve
music, dance, food and art in teaching languages.”
Deb likes to cook things like homemade tortillas with
her students.

Classes For Kids
Kids Express
An after-school program for fourth and fifth graders from the
Albert S. Hall School
Let’s Talk Language School has teamed up with the Albert S. Hall
School Kids Express program to offer after-school classes in
French and Spanish. Patty Vashon will teach French and Monica
Fallow will teach Spanish. This six-week language program will
begin Thursday, February 28th.
If your child is a student at the Albert Hall School and is interested
in learning French or Spanish, look in your child’s backpack for
upcoming information about the Kids Express after-school
programs.
